We believe dogs deserve the same level of rehabilitation as people. Our philosophy centers on compassion, form-focused exercise prescription, and empowering owners to actively support their dog’s recovery.
Peak Paws combines advanced human and veterinary rehab expertise to help dogs move better, recover faster, and live fuller lives. Led by Dr. Kelley Zupanek DPT, OMPT, CCRT, LVT, we specialize in personalized, evidence-based canine rehabilitation.
We’re mobile, stress-free, and owner-inclusive. Each plan is individualized, blending advanced PT techniques and veterinary rehab principles with hands-on training to maximize your dog’s progress at home.
We use a Class IIIb medical-grade therapeutic laser, the same technology trusted in veterinary specialty hospitals. Laser therapy helps relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and accelerate healing of muscles, joints, and soft tissues.
Hands-on techniques restore mobility, ease stiffness, and improve comfort. From joint mobilization to soft-tissue work, manual therapy helps pets move more freely and recover more fully.
Exercise prescriptions are tailored to each dog’s unique needs—not just generic drills. These targeted exercises build strength, balance, and endurance to support long-term mobility and prevent future injuries.
We use electrical stimulation to support recovery and comfort. TENS provides gentle pain relief, while NMES activates and strengthens muscles, helping pets regain function after injury or surgery.
PEMF uses electromagnetic fields to stimulate circulation and support tissue repair. It can be especially helpful for pain relief, healing after surgery, and managing chronic conditions like arthritis.
Sensor-based technology measures your dog’s stride, symmetry, and weight-bearing with precision, giving us data-driven insight into recovery. We also provide wheelchair and cart fitting to help pets stay mobile and independent.

We treat a variety of injuries and conditions, including but not limited to back and neck pain, joint pain, sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and balance and mobility issues.
Kelley holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and completed advanced residency training in orthopedics and manual therapy. She spent over 15 years helping people recover from complex musculoskeletal injuries before transitioning her expertise to animals. In 2020, she became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist, and she recently earned her Licensed Veterinary Technician credential. Kelley has worked as a rehabilitation therapist at the Animal Medical Center in New York City, where she collaborated with specialists to treat challenging orthopedic and neurologic cases. Drawing on over 20 years of combined human and veterinary experience, Kelley brings a rare perspective to rehabilitation—bridging two professions to give pets the same level of care once reserved only for people.
We do not take insurance. All services are direct pay, though you’re welcome to submit for reimbursement. This model ensures we can keep cost affordable and transparent and provide care driven by your pet’s needs—not by insurance restrictions.
